I need hearing aids due to my severe deafness; I visited the National Committee for the Blind and Deaf, which was ineffective so they referred me to the entity you represent worthily. Having completed the appropriate paperwork and received the hearing aids, I appreciate all the immediate attentions of your specialized staff, which were free of charge. Besides the fine treatment received from each and every one of the people who assisted me in “Smiles that Listen”, I also received instructions for the use and technical management of devices, I reiterate my thanks to all of you and, of course, to donors for their altruism. Vitalino Garcia FamilyThe VITALINO GARCIA family thanks Smiles that Listen Foundation for having donated hearing aids to their children YESICA and WILLIAM GARCIA, who suffer from hearing loss and were about to leave the school in the village of Chichiguitan, Quetzaltenango. At school, they were victims of bullying by their peers and teachers, who did not want to enroll them because it was very difficult for Yesica and William to understand classes. However, with their hearing aids, this year they were enrolled and are doing fine. Thank you and we urge you to continue helping Guatemalan children in such a need of support like ours, especially since our government has forgotten the most marginalized sectors of our country.
